Why homeowners choose it

Real wood, and it shows.

Nothing reads "quality" underfoot like real hardwood. It warms up living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and bedrooms, and — unlike every other floor — it can be sanded and refinished instead of replaced when it wears or you want a new color.

We carry both solid hardwood (best for main levels) and engineered hardwood (more stable over concrete and in basements). We'll walk you through which makes sense for each room, your subfloor, and your budget — no upsell, just what fits.

Hardwood sits at the premium end on price, and it earns it: cared for, it's the last floor a room needs, and it's the one buyers notice at resale.

Common questions

Hardwood, answered.

Can I put hardwood in a bathroom or basement?

Solid hardwood and standing moisture don't mix, so we steer clear of full baths. For basements and over concrete, engineered hardwood or luxury vinyl plank is the smarter, more stable choice — we'll tell you honestly which room wants which floor.

How often does hardwood need refinishing?

Most floors go 7–10 years between refinishes with normal family use, and solid hardwood can be refinished many times over its life. A refinish costs a fraction of replacement and makes the floor look brand new.

Solid vs. engineered — what's the difference?

Solid is one piece of wood, ideal for main levels and refinishing the most times. Engineered is a real-wood top layer over a stable core, so it handles humidity swings, concrete and basements better. Both look identical once installed.

Will it hold up to dogs and kids?

Harder species (like hickory and oak) and a matte, tougher finish hide day-to-day wear well. And because it refinishes, hardwood shrugs off years of traffic that would retire other floors.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a few days depending on square footage, whether we're refinishing existing wood, and dry time for stain and finish. We'll give you a firm timeline with your quote.

“They refinished our old oak floors and matched the stain to the new hallway perfectly. Looks like one continuous floor now.”
